April 2026 Product Update #1

Web Platform Β· Mobile App Β· Released April 2026

Cibo AI assistant on web and mobile, a brand new Home Screen with Mission Control and Command Centre, claims cancellation with Xero sync, field variations, BOG workforce forecasting, and more.

✦ Feature Spotlight β€” Meet Cibo & In-App Support

New Β· Web App & Mobile App

We're on a mission to make Colobbo the easiest field operations platform to learn, use, and master β€” whether you're onboarding your first technician or scaling to hundreds of users across multiple projects.

Today, we're taking a major step forward with Cibo, a built-in Help Centre, and live support β€” all accessible right inside the app.

CIBO Mobile

Meet Cibo β€” Your AI Assistant

Say hello to Cibo β€” your on-demand guide to everything Colobbo.

Cibo is an AI assistant being trained on the entire Colobbo platform β€” every feature, every workflow, every screen. It can answer questions instantly, walk users through processes, and help your team get unstuck without waiting for a support ticket. Cibo is learning and improving every day as we continue adding knowledge base articles β€” over the coming weeks it will become even more capable and accurate.

Try asking Cibo things like:

  • "How do I create a linked work order?"

  • "How do I complete a work order?"

  • "How do I submit Boots on Ground?"

  • "How do I add a custom field to a work order?"

  • "What does the Skills badge on a work order mean?"

Built-In Help Centre

Every user now has access to a full Help Centre β€” directly inside the app. Search step-by-step guides, how-to articles, interactive walkthroughs, and troubleshooting tips without ever leaving the page you're working on.

Articles are organised by role β€” Organisation Admins, Subcontractor Admins, and Field Technicians β€” so everyone finds what's relevant to them quickly.

Live Chat with the Support Team

Need a human? Start a live conversation with our support team directly from the chat panel. No emails, no phone queues β€” just type and we'll respond.

You can also raise a support ticket from the same panel for complex issues β€” we'll track it through to resolution and keep you updated. All your previous conversations are saved, so you can pick up right where you left off.

How to access support

On Web β€” Click the help icon (shown by the arrow) in the top-right header from any page to chat with Cibo, browse the Help Centre, or talk to our support team.

On Mobile β€” Tap More in the bottom navigation, then tap Support. Chat with Cibo, browse the Help Centre, or talk to our team β€” all from within the app.

Where we're heading β€” Self-Serve Onboarding & Field Enablement

Cibo and the Help Centre are just the beginning. We're building towards a platform where new users can onboard themselves β€” whether that's a new field technician joining a project, a subcontractor admin setting up their team, or an organisation admin configuring a new work package.

Here's what's coming:

Guided onboarding tasks β€” New users will receive step-by-step onboarding checklists tailored to their role. Complete your profile, view your first work order, submit your first checklist β€” each task guiding users through the platform naturally.

In-app product tours β€” Interactive walkthroughs that highlight key features right on screen β€” no manuals, no training decks, no shadow shifts needed.

Cibo at every step β€” As Cibo continues to learn, it will become the always-available coach that sits alongside every user. Stuck on a screen? Ask Cibo. Not sure what a field means? Ask Cibo. Need to know the fastest way to close out 50 work orders? Ask Cibo.

Colobbo Agent β€” Cibo that takes action β€” We're working on something big. Imagine telling Cibo "Create a work order for 42 Smith Street, assign it to Jason, due Friday" β€” and it just does it. We're building Cibo into a full operational agent that can create work orders, complete tasks, build schedules, and more β€” all through a simple chat conversation. You'll also be able to connect Colobbo to the tools your team already uses and manage operations from wherever you work. More on this soon.

AI-powered field verification β€” We're exploring how AI image recognition can help verify work completions in the field. Imagine uploading a site photo and having the platform automatically detect whether the required components are installed, correctly positioned, and compliant β€” reducing manual QA effort and catching issues before they leave site. Early days, but the potential is huge.

The goal is simple: make it possible for organisations to scale from 10 to 1,000 users without scaling their training effort. Whether you're rolling out a new project, onboarding a new subcontractor, or adding field techs mid-build β€” Colobbo will get them productive from day one.

✦ Feature Spotlight β€” Brand New Home Screen

New Β· Web App Home

Your new command centre for everything happening across your organisation. The redesigned Home Screen gives you a single pane of navigation β€” search, filter, and jump to any work order, action, template, or booking without leaving the dashboard.

Pulse Check β€” Instant Operational Snapshot

See what needs attention at a glance. Pulse Check shows live metrics across your workload β€” needs attention, new work orders, in-progress jobs, overdue actions, today's bookings, and inspections. Click any metric to drill straight in.

Mission Control β€” Filter Everything, Instantly

Use Mission Control to switch between views of your work:

  • Your Work β€” see only what's assigned to you

  • Team Work β€” see your entire team's workload

  • Any Technician β€” drill into a specific person's assignments

  • State β€” filter by region or project status

Command Centre β€” Navigate Your Entire Operation

The Command Centre organises everything by type β€” Work Orders, Actions, Inspections, and Bookings β€” with built-in urgency grouping (Overdue, Starting Soon, Today, Tomorrow, Upcoming). Slide-out modals with search let you find and open any record without navigating away.

πŸ“ Home Screen β†’ Available immediately after login

πŸ’‘ Tip: Want to learn about the new dashboard? Ask Cibo! Click the help icon on web or go to More β†’ Support on mobile, and try: "Cibo, can you explain the new dashboard?"

New Features & Enhancements

πŸ“Š Boots on Ground β€” Admin Configuration & Workforce Forecasting

New Feature Β· Web App

Organisation Admins can now configure Boots on Ground submission windows β€” set how many days before and after the scheduled date field users can submit BOG (shown in the circled fields). This gives you future workforce forecasting visibility while controlling when submissions are accepted. Includes configurable permissions on actions for tighter operational control.

πŸ”— Claims β€” Cancel, Revert & Third-Party Sync

New Feature Β· Web App

Claims now support cancellation and reverting β€” giving admins and claim assessors the flexibility to correct mistakes or handle changed scope. Cancellations automatically sync with Xero and other connected third-party accounting platforms, keeping your financial records consistent.

πŸ“± Work Order Custom Fields β€” Now on Mobile

New Feature Β· Mobile App

You can now add and edit custom fields on work orders directly from the mobile app. Previously this was only available on the web β€” now your field teams have the same flexibility on-site.

Custom fields already created and edited on web continue to work as before.

πŸ“‹ Checklist Instructions β€” Images, Links & PDFs

New Feature Β· Web & Mobile

A new Instruction field is now available on checklist templates. Add detailed instructions to any checklist item β€” including images, links, and PDF reference documents β€” so field technicians have the guidance they need right where they need it.

Instructions are configured on templates via the web and displayed to field teams on both web and mobile when completing checklists.

πŸ“ Templates β†’ Checklist β†’ Add Instruction

πŸ”— Xero Integration β€” More Stable, Payment Sync

Enhancement Β· Web Platform

The Xero integration has been improved for greater stability and reliability. Payment synchronisation is now more consistent β€” ensuring payments recorded in Colobbo are accurately reflected in Xero.

πŸ”œ Coming Soon

πŸ“Š Variations β€” Track Changes to Scoped Work

Coming Next Week Β· Web App

Field users will be able to request variations or add variations to claims β€” tracking the difference between Variation Quantity and Original Scoped Quantity. This gives full visibility into scope changes and ensures every variation is documented, approved, and reflected in the claim.

πŸ“± Coming to Mobile

Home Screen β€” The new dashboard with Pulse Check, Mission Control, and Command Centre is rolling out to mobile in late April.

Claims & Variations β€” End-to-end claims submission, variation tracking, and approvals directly from mobile β€” for Subcontractors and Claim Assessors. On our roadmap for later this year.

Bug Fixes

Deleted and archived work orders no longer visible β€” Previously, work orders (and their child work orders) that had been deleted or archived were still appearing in work order lists on both web and mobile. This has been fixed β€” deleted and archived records are now correctly hidden.

Permission fixes β€” Resolved issues with action permissions not applying correctly in certain configurations.
