Web Platform · Released 2 October 2026
Your booking pages can now keep public holidays closed, so nobody books themselves into Christmas Day. Your team can edit, reschedule or cancel a booking without leaving Colobbo. Saved Views come to Actions, Inspections and Schedules. Reports and photo downloads get quicker for every photo uploaded from now on, NBN delivery partners get a WOMS defect import that keeps statuses in step, and there is a round of fixes besides.
🏖️ Public Holidays — No More Bookings on Days You're Closed
New · Web App
Until now, a customer could book themselves into Christmas Day or a long weekend, and someone had to ring them back to move it. Now you tell Colobbo which public holidays you observe, and your booking schedules keep those days closed.
Go to Settings → Organization → Holiday Config and pick every country your organisation operates in. The list underneath shows exactly which holidays that covers, year by year — and the dates keep themselves up to date, so there is nothing to maintain.
Then switch on Don't allow bookings on holidays for a booking schedule, and choose the states or territories that matter — so a state holiday such as Labour Day is closed only where it actually falls. Set your default once in Scheduler Settings (the cog on the Schedules list) and every new schedule starts with it.
On the booking page, holidays show in orange and can't be picked — choose one to see which holiday it is. The same rule applies whenever a booking is rescheduled, including by your own team. Existing schedules stay exactly as they are until you switch it on. For setting up schedules, see How to Create and Edit a Booking Schedule.
📅 Edit, Reschedule or Cancel a Booking Without Leaving Colobbo
New · Web App
When a customer rings to move their appointment, you can now sort it out while they are still on the phone. Edit, Reschedule and Cancel open right inside Colobbo, instead of sending you off to the customer's booking page in a new tab.
Open Schedules → Bookings and use the icons on any booking, or the ⋮ menu in grid view.
Reschedule shows only the dates and times that genuinely have space — the same availability your customers see. Edit corrects a name, email, phone number or unit number without touching the appointment. Cancel asks once more before anything happens, so nothing goes by accident.
Each change is emailed to the customer, and the assigned team member hears about it by email, in-app and push — so whoever turns up always has the latest time.
Click any booking to open its full details: appointment, customer and assignment in one panel, with Reschedule, Cancel and Edit right at the top. Schedules and Expressions of Interest have the same detail view.
Customers can still manage their own booking from the link in their emails — see How to Book, Reschedule, Update or Cancel Your Appointment.
👁️ Saved Views for Actions, Inspections and Schedules
New · Web App
The Views you know from Work Orders now come to Actions, Inspections and Schedules. Save the filters and columns you check every day — this week's inspections in Victoria, overdue high-priority actions — and switch between them in one click instead of rebuilding them every morning.
Choose Add view → Create new view, give it a name, add filters, pick your columns, and decide who sees it: just you, your team, or everyone in the company. Views sit as tabs along the top of the list — drag them into the order you like, clone one to make a variation, and manage them all under All views.
Views work the same way on every list — see Create Custom Views for Work Orders.
⚡ Faster Report Downloads
Improved · Web App
From this release, every photo is prepared in the right sizes the moment it is uploaded — from the web or the mobile app — so reports built from those photos no longer wait while each image is resized. The more photos a report holds, the bigger the difference.
Photo and media downloads now use high-resolution copies, so zip files are smaller and arrive sooner. Checklist reports inside a download are named the same way as a single download — the report name and the work order code — so you can tell them apart at a glance. See How to Download Work Order Reports, Photos and Media.
🧾 WOMS Defect Import Keeps Statuses in Step
Improved · Web App · For NBN delivery partners
If you import NBN defects from WOMS under WOMS Update → Defect Import, your actions now follow WOMS much more closely:
Closed means closed. A defect that is Closed, Rejected or Resolved in WOMS — or has dropped off the sheet — now closes its action in Colobbo, rather than marking it Completed.
Reopened defects come back. Reopen a defect in WOMS and its closed action returns to To Do.
NBN dates match WOMS. The sheet's CREATED ON and CLOSED ON dates are saved to the NBN Created On and NBN Closed On custom fields on your project.
🛠 Fixes & Improvements
Improved · Web App
Booking reminders let customers make changes. A customer's reminder email now includes a link to change their booking, and a technician with many bookings gets one digest rather than an email for each.
People copied on a notification get their own wording — written for someone being kept informed, not for the person doing the work.
Dates in the Actions list read properly. Date custom fields show as DD/MM/YYYY — with the time for date-and-time fields — instead of a long raw timestamp.
Export emails always arrive. Email me the link and export-ready emails could go missing during a brief interruption to live notifications. They now always send.
Address search suggests Australian addresses when adding a user, and the scheduler fills in the timezone from the state — even for an address you type in yourself.
Repeated Penetrations sections in inspections each get their own Photos section, without carrying over the previous section's photos.
Sorting a list by a column no longer makes it reload over and over.
Template options without a score count as zero, so inspection score totals add up.
The assignee picker shows only active users.
