Checklist questions in Colobbo can require photos as evidence — such as safety documentation, pre-start photos, or site condition records. Once uploaded, photos can be annotated directly in the browser. Available to all roles.

Uploading a Photo to a Checklist Question

Open the work order checklist — Navigate to the work order and click the Checklist tab.

Click the Add Photo icon — On the checklist question that requires a photo, click the photo upload icon to open the file browser.

Select your file — Browse to the image (PNG or JPEG) and click to select it.

Click Upload — Press Upload to attach the photo. A confirmation message will appear.

Add more photos if needed — Click the photo upload icon again to attach additional images.

Opening the Annotation Editor

Click the Edit (pencil) icon — Hover over an uploaded photo and click the pencil icon to open the annotation editor.

Annotation toolbar — The editor includes: Sharpie, Eraser, Path, Line, Arrow, Rectangle, Ellipse, and Text. Adjust line colour and width from the toolbar.

Annotation Tools

Sharpie — Freehand drawing for quick highlights.

Eraser — Remove any annotation you've drawn.

Path — Click to drop connected points to map cable or duct routes across the image.

Line — Draw a straight line between two points.

Arrow — Point to a specific area or hazard.

Rectangle — Draw a box to highlight an area.

Ellipse — Draw a circle or oval to highlight an area.

Text — Add a text label. Drag to place the box, type your label, adjust font size and style from the toolbar.

Saving Your Annotations

Click Done — Press Done in the top right to save all annotations against the checklist question.

💡 Tip: Use the Path tool to map cable or duct routes directly on a site photo — this creates a clear visual record for QA reviewers.
