The Boots On Ground menu is a dedicated dashboard for monitoring all BOG submissions across your team. It includes a Live Site Map showing active members and job sites by region, date filters for historical review, and a quick-submit button to create a new BOG entry without opening a work order directly.

Navigating to the BOG Menu

Click Boots on Ground in the left navigation โ€” From anywhere in Colobbo, click Boots on Ground in the left sidebar. This opens the BOG dashboard showing all submitted entries in a list view.

Using the Live Site Map

Click Live Site Map โ€” At the top of the BOG dashboard, click Live Site Map to expand the interactive map panel.

Read the map summary โ€” The top right of the map shows two key metrics for the selected date filter: Active members (total crew on-site) and Active job sites (unique locations with BOG submissions).

Read region numbers โ€” Each region on the map shows a number indicating how many BOG entries were submitted from that area for the selected dates.

Click a region number โ€” Click any numbered region to filter the BOG list below to only show entries from that area. The active members and job site counts update to reflect the filtered region.

Drill into a state โ€” Click a specific state (e.g. Victoria, Queensland) to further filter to that state's BOG entries. Active filter chips appear at the top of the page showing your current selection (e.g. "State: Victoria").

Expand or collapse the map โ€” Click the chevron (^) on the right of the Live Site Map bar to collapse the map and focus on the data table below, or expand it again to view the geographic distribution.

Filtering by Date

Click the date filter dropdown โ€” At the top of the BOG dashboard, click the filter dropdown to choose your date range. Available options are:

  • Today WorkDates โ€” Default. Shows all BOG for today.

  • Yesterday WorkDates โ€” BOG submitted for yesterday's activity.

  • Current Week WorkDates โ€” All BOG for the current week.

  • Last Week WorkDates โ€” BOG from last week.

  • Current Month WorkDates โ€” All BOG for the current calendar month.

  • Last Month WorkDates โ€” BOG from the previous month.

  • Custom Date Range โ€” Select a specific start and end date.

  • All Projects โ€” Remove date filtering and show all BOG entries across all time.

The Live Site Map and list table update automatically when you change the date filter.

Submitting a New BOG from the BOG Menu

Click + New โ€” In the top right of the BOG dashboard, click the + New button to open a new Boots On Ground form. This is an alternative to submitting from inside a work order.

Complete all mandatory fields โ€” Fill in the required fields. In addition to the standard fields, the BOG form from this entry point also includes:

  • DP Field Supervisor โ€” Select the field supervisor for this activity.

  • Work Hours โ€” Enter the number of hours worked.

  • Total Hours โ€” Enter the total hours across crew.

  • Program of Work โ€” Select from dropdown.

  • Estimated Start Time โ€” Enter the time work began.

  • Estimated Finish Time โ€” Enter the time work ended.

  • Activity โ€” Select the type of work performed.

  • Activity Type โ€” Select the activity category.

  • Build Phase โ€” Select the current build phase.

  • Commentary (Optional) โ€” Add any additional notes.

Click Submit โ€” Press Submit to record the BOG entry. A confirmation message appears: "Boots on ground created successfully." The new entry will be visible immediately in the BOG list.

Click Cancel to discard โ€” If you want to abandon the form without saving, click Cancel. This discards all entered data and returns you to the BOG dashboard.

Downloading a BOG Report

Click Download Report โ€” In the top right of the BOG dashboard, click Download Report to export the current filtered BOG data.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Use Yesterday WorkDates as your default morning check โ€” it gives you a quick overview of who was on-site the day before, which regions were active, and whether all expected BOG submissions came in.
